It's a fair weather alternate for us for both AKL and CHC... For the 380 that is!

A seven hour delay then a non-stop to Singapore. What crew does SQ carry on the route and what are the duty limitations?

Duty limitations don't matter anymore. As long as you can show an FRMS manual to the XAA and two or three fatigue reports of your choosing you can do what you want. One caveat.... The manual has to be very thick and read with a concerned fatherly look on your face.

There WAS a nice thread running about the A380 wonky abort in AKL but funny thing is that it's now gone........surely that company hasn't threatened hellfire over it.....
