Keeping with the Traditional Owners them and that it will likely not get built, why hurry a 70 year old delay;

I don't know but "Badger Tower", "Badger Ground", "Badger Approach" and "Badger Departures" sounds pretty good.

The new airport will be named by a corporate sponsor. Aviation professionals will be thinking 'where on earth did that name come from?' and the general public won't care what the name is. The corporate sponsor will have had little previous aviation exposure.
In a very short period of time, with a change of government, thousands of homes under new flight paths will have government supplied noise insulation, at zero cost to home owners. Eventually there will be a curfew imposed.
True Aussie form.

Point Break International Airport

For many reasons really one being once in a fifty year event, then is gone again.

I think we should use the KISS principal on this one. There is a very good chance that this airport will take 10+ yrs to build, or Maybe not at all. So until it actually exists, we should call it MAYBE Airport. Someone write a song pls.

With the regular fogs out there in Bogan Central, the name "Mist Airport" would give rise to "Mist Approach".

Or "Compensate Me Airport", from the number of scumbags who will have their hands out for a payoff due to loss of (pick one) amenity/ sleep/ sex life/ parking spot/ sunlight due aluminium overcast/ lawns due to chemtrail spillage/ serenity.

But who will ever want to land in Penrith and then spend another 2+ hours getting to Australia?

"Unlikely" I reckon. Unless they get those Queensland graziers to build it.

Considering most tourists probably "do Sydney" in a day, then spend a week seeing the outlying areas' including the Blue Mountains etc, I'm sure this will actually be good for tourism. Cheaper Accommodation, outside the CBD, and a busload of tourists head into the CBD for their dose of Circular Quay and Barangaroo, with Lunch in Chinatown or Darling Harbour and then maybe a quick tour of Bondi and Manly on the way back to the cheap hotel.

Who knows, maybe they'll be put up in Parramatta, or Rouse Hill and instead of a bus into the city, they'll all hop on the metro/train instead.

Maybe something akin to Lasseter's Reef Airport. We can make a fortune with joy flights looking for it

Serious suggestion: name it after Nancy Bird Walton. She's got good cred and a good story, she's already got good name recognition with the Aussie public and bonus points, A WOMAN PILOT! Everybody wins!
