Just out of interest, do we know where the smoke was from? The reason I ask is that not so long ago we had a smoke incident caused by a capacitor in the fan circuit of the Emergency Inverter. A 50 cent component installed to reduce fan noise in the inverter casing. It's about the diameter of your little finger and 15mm long. When it lets go it can generate enough smoke to fill an entire aircraft but worse than that, no checklist procedure will stop the smoke. Only turning the entire aircraft off will stop this smoke.
