Thanks for your response. So, as people have been saying in the thread, no news is good news.

I'm quite surprised (but maybe not) that no one has made mention of ONE of the D***heads doing the interviews.

" Hi, I am ****, I've never flown in GA. I am an 8yr Cadet of Jetstar based in OOL and my first aircraft is the A320. I am just about to proceed onto the B787 as an FO. Tell us about yourself"

Initial thoughts were "WOTAWANKER"

Are they serious? He was proud he didn't do any GA time. Wow.

Why not be proud of not doing GA? You don’t have to do GA to be a successful airline pilot,

Why did you delete the post where you said you had 15000 hrs Boeing time and couple thousand Airbus time, but got the "sorry, but try again in 12 months time" email?

Did you happen to get his name? I'd like to buy him a beer. Sounds like he screened the right muppet.

Jetstar makes turnaround from being Australia’s most cancelled airline, now most likely to be on time.

Jetstar looks to hire 140 pilots by year's end - Australian Aviation

Ex-CX SO's or expats looking to come home?

I know of two offers that went out and were turned down flat as the candidate refused the base offered and said they had ‘other options’. Doubt Jetstar has ever encountered a buyers market.

Seems like base on offer changes quickly at the moment. A mate who just joined was given a choice of 4 bases. How many bases does Jetstar have overall? 6 ?

On the bus there is: SYD MEL OOL BNE CNS ADL AVV. Lots of people saying Perth is coming back at some point. I'll believe it when I see it.

Not surprised at all if they’ve heard how hard it is getting released within the group atm. They’ll get it too with how JQ start dates are going.

That said, there’s an internal cadetship ad now. I’d heard about soft minimums for staff numbers before, might be more than a few takers.

How are JQ start dates going for those who got a Yes recently and currently on active hold? How long is the wait (roughly) ?
