Yep the Engagement survey is back for 2016...I really wonder why they both at QF....more managers doing very little and they still have to contract an outside organisation to see if the staff are engaged!
Some would say, why dont management listen to there staff, after all they are the ones at the coal face, but no, if you even slightly disagree your branded as "not a team player" or a "disruptive individual" or have a "negative perspective" on the operation..
Oh well more spam email for the rubbish...I for one wont be doing it and urge all at QF to ignore it...

I'll be doing it and answering truthfully!
Well it's pretty clear which subject you were a "slacker" in at school!

Oh to be a mind reader...........
I'm guessing here, but are we discussing Towers Watson and a Qantas staff satisfaction survey??

Good luck, give them hell and ignore any calibration surveys!

Waton was deliberate...actual QF Management see that if you complete the survey, regardless of what you state, that you are engaged with Management....their logic is ridiculous....
Although it's a known fact a lot of roo staff and pilots are very unhappy with management and some of their decisions over the past few years, you can probably now say the ball is finally turning in the opposite direction.
The engagement survey is probably a waste of time, to gauge real engagement just look at the turnover rate for pilots (extremely low) and the amount of existing pilots within the industry who will apply for pilot positions with the Q when recruiting starts up again (I'm guessing a very large percentage). Even the most of the pilots left out in the wilderness in 08/09 when the music stopped will probably be glad to take a job with them, not too many companies you can say that about these days...

A point recognised by many QF employees last year when the time limit to submit the engagement survey was extended, as only 52% of employees bothered to fill it out. I think that by the end of the extension they had 56% of employees filling out the engagement survey.
Last year was the first year that there wasn't any spruiking of how "We have 80% staff engagement!" or other such dribble.

DIVOSH!
"Chris2303 that is entirely your right to do so. And while management will probably read your comments, the chances of your comments resulting in any management change is nil."
That is understood but it feels good doing it!

2015 annual results and the engagement levels were stated as 75%. When asked specifically about Flight Operations it was discovered that the engagement was 18%. What the? Devil if you do, Devil if you don't! They will still manipulate the figures. Isn't this "Misleading and Disruptive"? Nobody seems to care.
Are some of you suggesting that Towers Watson will manipulate survey data to fit a predetermined outcome stipulated by Qantas? Or will Qantas take accurate data and publish what they want you to believe is your level of engagement? No matter what the case, it sounds like a certain degree of fraud is about to happen.
Recognising true engagement - and it's value - is not done by survey……..

As someone who has completed the survey there are a couple of answers you can give which I think will leave no doubt your engagement, a little thought goes a long way.
1. How would you rate qantas as a place to work to your fiends?
2. How would you recommend Qantas to your friends?
There are a few others but think and I reacon you can get your point across.
whilst I know th'll publically work the result to their desire, you may cost Allan 1 million of his future bonus. At least flt'ops knows they have a problem of engagement, otherwise y would they be paying everyone to do the " course"
Be strategic, be smart. Aim for maximum effect

Engaged enough to do the survey perhaps.
In the red? Definitely not
