Pretty ugly!
I am happy it was a DHC8a, I don't know if any DH8s are still flying.

According to DOC 8643 - Aircraft Type Designators

DH8A - DE HAVILLAND CANADA DHC-8-100 Dash 8
DH8B - DE HAVILLAND CANADA Dash 8 (200)
DH8C - DE HAVILLAND CANADA Dash 8 (300)
DH8D - DE HAVILLAND CANADA DHC-8-400 Dash 8

Neva heard of a classic DH8 that wasn't a DHC8...

DH8s were from about 1918 so not too many photos about!
Nearly 100 years old.

Interesting that the crew changed roles in the middle of it all and the possible reason for the change. Definitely a change of undies scenario.
