I can see a frequent flyer point jackpot there Lookleft. You would think that one (CASA) person could benchmark it from their desk in a week or two. Obviously none of these regulations are available on the interwebs.

Now the deadline is April 2018! This latest dribble basically states that all the work and consultation that went into the FRMS CAAP in the first place was a complete waste of time.
I also thought that too. What didn't they do last time that they are going to do this time?

Begs the question who is doing the regulating in this country?

Given that much of the aviation regulatory regime in Australia is politics dressed up as safety, and given that Australia is likely to have another election before Christmas, the politics of flight and duty times continue to dictate that nothing continue to be done. Nobody in the bureacracy wants to make a decision that could be unpopular with a new government.

So who is the individual who s accountable for pushing it back?
Is there one? Is it the Transport Minister? The head of the Regulator?

No one's responsible. That's the 'genius' of modern government.

Tutorial materials

I have worked up a generic tutorial for CAO 48.1.

Presentations, flow charts, Quick Reference Guides.

I would like to get feedback.
