I thought the BAE A320 job was strictly a agreement with Tiger only? I know Tiger spent a bit to get the whole thing jointly up and running, from what was nothing before.

May be so.... However it is rumored that Bae have been heavily investing in expanding their capability. Are there any other options for JQ ?

Well considering Jq engineering have at least one 320 in Hangar 101 (QF hangar) on a regular basis why on earth doesn't QF tender/offer to carry out work for JQ?

There are sufficent LAME's licensed on type within QF in Melbourne and according to the manager there is plenty of "white space" to fill!

Let the excuses roll in.

How does a thread about a 3rd party MRO which in the form that's being discussed exists to serve the Tiger A320 fleet, small as it is, *apparently* being approached to take on a bit more A320 work from Jetstar

..

somehow evolve into a Qantas engineers are losing their jobs to this MRO ?
