Good luck to anyone who wants to come over and try their hand. The water is warm.
Website still says not accepting E3 pilots. Where was this announced?

It hasn't been announced. Only happened today, and the website hasn't been updated yet (I don't know the timeframe on when that will happen either). I would recommend anyone interested emails the address below stating they are interested in the E3 program, as well as completing the applicable airlineapps application.

My LCC airline reporting that they'll be the busiest ever in July. Exciting times for sure.

Any updates/stories?
Is it easy to "transfer" an E3 visa between employers- Is the whole process similar to applying for an initial visa (with an LCA and interview etc).

Visa doesn't transfer, but you can actually hold multiple E3s. So you get an offer from a new employer, get the appropriate paperwork, go to consulate appointment, reenter with 2 visas, start new job when ready.

You can't work for 2 companies fulltime on an E3. You can work part time for a second company and that's it.

If you apply for a full-time position at a new company, your old e3 will be cancelled (if your previous position was fulltime) when your new one is approved.

You may very well be right. I know it's possible to hold multiple E3s, as I know someone who's done it, but I'm not sure where the limits of that are.

Anybody recently applied and gotten a response from any of the recruiters in regards to E3 hiring?

Emailed GoJet, Mesa and CommutAir - got a response from GoJet saying E-3 applicants accepted. No response to the application yet. No response from the other two.

GoJet might get more interest from E3 applicants if they'd put on their pilot employment website that E3s are being accepted. If it's on there I can't find it.

May not be the worst thing avoiding that mob. From what I have read/heard they aren't exactly pleasant to work for, sounds like it's not exactly difficult to get fired for even just taking a sick day. It may also help if they would pay a half liveable wage...from the pay scale I saw online its pretty awful. Good luck making ends meet on that salary!

LW,

Yes, they don't get high marks from those who comment about them on av websites. Hard to say how much is accurate but there must be something to it. As for pay, they're in the high $30s/hour first year. Several others are about the same. The highest starting pay seems to be Endeavor and the 3 AA wholly-owned regionals at ~$50/hour...and Republic at $46. But those don't appear to be interested in E3s...that I've heard of.

GoJet would fill a square by getting an E3 candidate an FAA ATP with type rating and some air carrier experience...not that I'm singing GoJet's praises !

I’ve heard that it’s starting to go gang busters over in the land of the free. Overall what are opportunities like for a 737 FO with a bit of time on type?
Looking at all opportunities as the land of the fearful is getting a bit tedious.

Hard to say. I haven't seen or heard any definitive statements that 737 operators are taking E3s. That doesn't mean they aren't. They all seem to have the usual "Legally authorized to work in the United States" which doesn't tell you much. Your best bet may be a regional if/when you find them taking E3s again.

Here are a few 737 operators you might look at:

Unlikely at the moment without a Green Card. They’ll always take a US RJ guy over someone who hasn’t flown in the US but has a bit of time on type. IF and it’s a big if hiring keeps going the way it’s looking like it might, places like Sun Country may struggle to get applicants and seriously think about E3’s.

Southern had taken E-3's pre-covid, I haven't heard anything about them taking any ones yet, but they have been losing a lot of pilots to attrition even during 2020-21, so...

Unless the pilot pool here gets dryer than the Sahara, you are not getting a shot at a narrow body on an E3 anywhere unless you're already at a regional.

I would revisit that in about 12-18 months once hiring starts going nuts again.
