Yes I have and am starting next FEB. Have a few mates currently working for them as well, seem to be the best pick of the operators currently available to Australians.

Crunch, did they tell you what fleet you're on? 145 or 175?

No, you find out in class. But my friend who just started there got the 175. Recruiters said it will likely be 175 as they are heading towards a large 175 fleet. Apparently they have been promised the next 20 175s on order with United to arrive next year... and they may be taking a percentage of the MESA 175s that have their contract expiring soon.

They said their priority is 175 as United has said they can have as many as they can crew, so they will keep throwing crews at that so they can grow the fleet.. apparently.

I interviewed with all the available operators for E3 and was offered a position with all. ExpressJet just gave me the best vibes ultimately and felt like the most stable option. Not really fussy about 145/175 but at least you have a shot at it going to XJET. The others you will get the 145 and only opportunity for larger gear is the CRJ550 at GoJet. Pick your posion!

What about travel with ExpressJet, are they Wholly Owned by United? I know Mana owns them but is Mana owned by United?

They are 49% owned by United. Full travel privileges one level under the mainline pilots in terms of priority. Also travel benefits on star alliance and ZED fares etc.

Thanks, how did you find the whole process?

How long did it take from applying to getting an interview?

From applying and a few back and fourth emails to interviewing was around a week or so. If you haven’t interviewed with any regionals yet, I would factor in a couple weeks to study up. They will want to interview you as soon as they can, but can interview you up to 6 months before you think you will be ready to start ground school.

I see that today, Oct. 25th, Trans States has posted another ad for E3s on AFAP:

https://www.afap.org.au/pilot-jobs/p...irst%20Officer

At the bottom of that ad is something called New Journey-USA (email CV to apply ?). It replaces AeroCrew Soultions from the same ad posted on Oct. 22nd. What's that about ? This is all I found about New Journey-USA:

Detail by Entity Name

Bafanguy,

I'd dare say that's the same Kirsty Ferguson that owns Pinstripe Solutions (An aussie interview prep company). I wonder if the arrangement for TSA is a new aussie recruitment? company is dealing with the US labor Dept and USCIS for E3 applications. Or perhaps Journey USA is now used to prep aussie candidates from a professional standpoint for the US?

In any case, it's another interesting development of Aussies staking their claim in the US market.

Excellent detective work, Sir !! It does appear it might be some form of Aussie-US headhunting apparatus. The Pinstripe website makes no mention I could see of US regional work.

NEW JOURNEY USA LLC is dated 2017 but I can't tell if it's an active company. Googling the address shows a house in an residential neighborhood.

Interesting...

Thanks.

Are the interview questions similar to most Australian carriers? Tell us about yourself, what do you know about the company, tell us about a time you ... what do you know about the USA, rules, regs ect?

aviationinterviews.com has all the questions you will encounter at whatever regional you apply for. That site is as accurate as it gets.

Burleigh,

Thanks. I missed that when I looked for it.

Did a bit of digging and found that Aero Crew Solutions is still recruiting E3s. So Pinstripe is in addition to (not in place of) Aero Crew. Still can't figure out where New Journey USA LLC fits in the puzzle.
