Well done MASTEMA - I wonder if your (shortlived - good one mods!) post helped bring this into the spotlight.

anyone can open or run a travel agency (except maybe Michael James & others disqualified).
Travel agent licensing has ended. It ended in most states/territories 30 June 2014 & WA dagging the chain, but they have said they will end it too.

The one thing going for regulation down under is consistency.
The Hayne Royal Commission has already exposed a litany of BS where duplicity is the order of the day.
The gatekeeper of the Corporations Act are consistent. They consistently are looking the other way.
One might have hoped that James represented an acknowledgement that the Fox ran the chicken coop.
Kelly O'Dywer made all the right noises.
He sure does, as a Goldman's Sachs banker, replacing a banker....
What dear Kelly O'Dywer neglected to mention is that her and James are well known to each other, as James' daddy Roger held the seat of Higgins.
So why nothing of substance changes, perhaps a low risk prosecution, shooting fish in a barrel might make a man of James.

"Mr Shipton brings wide regulatory and financial market knowledge to the position, as well as international experience," Ms O'Dwyer told reporters at a media conference in Canberra.
