Reading between the lines of the article, it looks like the government requirement to use the insecticide might shift the focus onto them

...And from why I can find, there is an apparent link between Parkinson's and ONE pesticide- which was banned in 2001.

But then, he is standing between a bunch of lawyers and a contingency fee....

The lawyer was interviewed on ABC News Breakfast yesterday and said it was the Commonwealth that was being sued, because they mandated the type of spray and when and how to spray. Not Qantas.

Why is it that some airlines are required to spray the cabin and holds inbound to Australia and other airlines apparently do not have to do this?

Thanks Goat, I am aware of this but isn't the aircraft supposed to carry some sort of certificate to show that it was treated?

Yes you do need to carry the residual cert showing expiry date etc...a requirement to be carried for inbound flights.
