Any news on the Air Pacific Fiji A330 contract? A few guys from over here were looking at it as a ticket home.


Last I heard the contract was very basic, short term (1 to 2 years max) and designed to work your ring off;

• Age maximum 60
• $1200 NZ gross per day (you sort out the tax)
• 10 days off per month
• No Super
• No AL
• No SL
• No LoL
• Nothing else

Running the pay through the ATO calculator/ currency converter- 20 days per month equates to just $8900 AUD net for the most senior A330 Check position!

Looks like only monkeys from the bottom of the barrel will take this on!

A few commanders from over here in the "What a Beach... Resort" were looking at the Air Pacific contract as a ticket home.
