Well at least two flying dumbos carry more weight than a couple of flying pigs!!

Although they will need a bigger trough or would that be called a 'trench'..perhaps?? Anyway back to the hoodoo voodoo theme...Frank how does this help us to get rid of the Ginger Ninja and her cronies??

The jobs you are referring too are 'phantom jobs'. The top brass who are carrying out these roles do so under the terms of 'temporary positions', being the jobs aren't supposedly filled,they are only being done on a temporary basis, however the gents filling these roles have to abide by 'due process' within a 'clear and transparent' environment so the jobs have officially been approved, and advertised.However before you or perhaps Frank Arouet, myself or anybody else thinks about applying, don't bother. The current people 'acting' in these roles are already the 'successful' candidates and will be staying on !!

THe music has stopped, again!

More shuffling of the cards, more musical chairs.

This time the FNQ Regional Manager is headed to Melbourne office. This will be interesting indeed. Now we all know how FNQ operates but it is also interesting that the Melbourne field office manager escaped the knife, just, when the SYD and BNE field office managers were pineappled a little while back. Perhaps the blades are being sharpened now for him? But who will take over FNQ and deal with all those nasty Inspectors and pony pooh operators?

Not sure what these "managers" are supposed to do but when you have folk in CNS and TVL who go off at a tangent and do their own thing, seemingly without any oversight, legal niceties or pulling into line...you can imagine the mayhem..
JQ and others can testify to that.
So where are the "managers" in all this??? Managing to keep their heads down and pretrend it isnt hapening.?

Its all BS and bollocks, but it keeps them employed...wrongly.
Unfortunately for individuals and the GA industry.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the latest, useful, instructive video module: designed so that the crew can recognise each other. It's designed to inhibit robust in fighting, poo throwing and to some extent; arse covering. Of course the HR guys and gals keep trying to keep a lid on things; but we hear there is a 'whistle blowers' course coming up.

Seems like someone (or two) are going to be carrying some of the cans left behind after 'the inquiry'. Snakes and ladders courses are now optional for those who wish to participate. Anyway –

About 1400 EST tomorrow, marks the end of an era. It will quietly happen in the Senate and your comments on this subject have made it happen. Brava Ppruners, well done!, well done indeed.

I will not bang on about the sad state this industry is in, or the governmental agencies which have; in no small way, contributed to it's near demise. My thoughts, hopes and care for an industry I love, have been shared with some great folk here; infinitum; et tedium (and probably, ad nauseam).

My hope is that just for a short while, we can all stick together and rid ourselves of the invidious, often incestuous, expensive, non productive,. parasite on this industry, which has become our Civil Aviation Safety Authority.

Tomorrow is a start, the 22nd gives a slim (60/40 against) chance – the rest boys and girls; is really - up to you.

Game update

Well viewers, as you can see the board is delicately balanced; in a series of clumsy, but effective moves the Senate crew, playing in white shirts have managed to block the power play of the Combined Bureau team, playing today in their world famous grey with yellow stripes uniform.

Despite being overwhelmed by superior numbers, the Senate crew appear to have at least neutralised, if not taken the 'Crats Psycho Bishop out of play . It's doubtful that the PB will take any further meaningful part in this championship grudge match.

This of course puts the 'Crats Beaker Bishop in a weak but playable position, this can be seen by the tentative last forward movement, more bluff than puff - but this may test the White team ingenuity. If the BB is taken out that only leaves two sacrificial pieces, the Black Knight with no name and Commodey Castle between the Whites and the 'Crat Rat King. Stay tuned for an update on the by plays, now a word from our sponsor which will disappear if you log in.

New CASA game - Tautology!

The new game being played at Fort Fumble and ATSB is called 'Tautology'. It is a type of cat and mouse game in which opposing sides, including dozens of players, compete by means of playing off against each other in events including:

* Masters of spin
* Word wankery
* Trick the Senator
* Bobbing in the trough filled with taxpayer funded treats
* Smoke and mirrors
* Pony pooh jousting

And this dictionary meaning I found will interest 'K" and friends (my apologies to those who are disturbed by my riddles)
Adj.1. tautological - repetition of same sense in different words; "`e.g regulatory reform, 'a true fact' and `a free gift' are pleonastic expressions"; "the phrase `a beginner who has just started' is tautological"; and "the Director and CEO are at risk of being redundant so I return to my original proposition" is tautological.
