TG, I flew J* last about 6 yrs ago, at the time I recall the overhead bin advertising, unlike yourself flying twice a month, I have little reason to fly domestically...very often...So I ask, is the advertising apparent at the end of a flight?

Incorrect wheels_down.

There is only the 1 A320 with advertising. It's for Australia Post and I saw it just 2 days ago.

Australia Post, along with Skytrack Express is in 50% with QF. I personally have never seen any advertising on either the A320, or the A330, other than that, I have heard ads for StarKids which nobody could disagree with, and the usual car hire ad which is on every airline I ever had anything to do with.

It's not the advertising that turns me off Jetcancer. It's everything else that they do. Or don't do.

Arguments about advertising, individual perceptions on LCCs, and personal vendettas towards Jetstar are simply tangents to the real issue here. Qantas is an Australian icon, a part of our collective history, and something that all Australians should be proud of. It's name is being dragged through the mud. It will be a sad day when I can no longer go to an airport and see a white roo on a red tail. All Australians should do everything they can to keep Qantas profitable, unfortunately we are playing with a rigged deck if the people who are running it want to destroy it.

QF may be an Icon and maybe part of our collective history but more importantly it is a business that will either return value or go broke. The icon history thing will have not save it, nor should they.

Agree with Zapatas, Ned Kelly is an icon and a part of Australian history, but he was just like any of the other lowlifes in Australian history, he is dead and buried.
QANTAS soon will be just like Ned Kelly, move on to better things, or is there nothing better in your life than QANTAS

Training Wheels,

Don't tread on Aeroflot too much. After AJ's grounding of the QF fleet last year, Aeroflot became the worlds longest continually operating airline. Quite an achievement

Jetstar have had Budget rent-a-car decals on tray-tables and overhead lockers.

In addition to various logo jets including almost painting a 717 for Lynx - but was terminated at the 11th hour and converted into the "Christmas Jet"...

Echo the Garuda comments.

They have come a long long way since I was with AN in ADL and were running leased A300-600s from somewhere in South America with onboard engineers. One tried to fix a blown O ring in the hot section of one turbine with silastic and wire - disatrous result and the AN engineers refused to let it roll until the correct part was found.

They are now 1st class, with flat bed J class, lovely aeroplanes and great fares. thne Sales staff can work Airport, they are what we used to love to be - a part of the Airline.

Love selling them (don't hesitate to call!!) as my clients love them.

Where has the rest of the Airline world gone when the mouse discovers it can roar.

Quel domage!

Best all

EWL

SandyPalms, QF had the monopoly on "The Shire" long before JQ came into being. They used to have these things called fun jets, where we would pick up pissed, drugged kids from Bali and in those days you could smoke, so by the time we hit SYD the crew were as high as they were. The flighties used to reckon who needs donks we could float home. And the aircraft had to aired before the cleaners would even get on them. Try that now.
