The future of Melbourne Tullamarine - Essendon AFL Club

We dont have second runways at any of our capital city airports, we are turning our secondary airports into used car lots and just now I have heard the that Essendon AFL club are moving to take over a large slice of property at Melbourne airport.

They are going to put two football grounds just to the south of the Tullamarine terminal.

Planning for the future - way to go!

The actual plan is to build west of the current R34. To build east a couple of ovals is nothing. You'd need a massive re-allignment of the Tulla Freeway for starters. So when do you foresee a need for a third north/south runway?
