aintsaying,

on the contrary, I'm bagging the operators here.
Know some people at JHAS and have an understanding of the pressures and constraints that the guys and gals work under in relation to customer operators,

I believe that JHAS do a sterling job, all things considered.

My point is where is the regulator when these "situations" occur???

Where are the regulators?

In bed sound asleep.
In true management style.

As for MRO reporting to regulator about: aircraft late arrival/ added last minute tasks/ refusal to allow deferrals - I doubt it.

JHAS had a lot of good guys on the hangar floor go thru their doors, and even less good management guys go thru those doors too.
And now the last remaining few are about to exit out those hangar doors as well.
Then some where between March and May 2014, even more guys will be walking out the line maintenance doors on the east and west coasts.

Can anyone confirm the rumour that JHAS is about to lose 30 engineers to Korr ?

Heard the same story yesterday. The assumption was they were to be part of the 787 operation.
Have no idea as to the validity of the rumour.

Yep its true. most of them will be off shift this friday if not already off shift.
apparently its an accumulation of the Ansett boys over at Korr now. The LH's are picking their buddys.
The JHAS guys will not be part of the 787 group.
Its going to be a happy environment there, described as an "Qantas/Forstaff" relationship on the floor. Us/them attitude.

From what I have been told this is correct...1. resignation with 30+ names on it...Happy new year...
It appears that Korr will be doing the "A" checks and "overflow" work that JHAS has lost..But on a brighter note the "rumour" is that the B737 work will be back at JHAS...I guess that the extended intervals between"H" checks has "Run out"..and the boys who are "presently working" in the donga's will be back !!

So ....... Korr - no training, no leave and only as good as your last mistake. The girls and boys at JHAS must be really spooked

Heard JHAS has won the contract to turn ANZ 787s in Perth. I stand to be corrected.
