No, perhaps ironically - this thread title from 2011 is incorrect and the tables have turned completely. 85% in favor back in 2011 - 85% voting no this time around. A serious wake-up call to our management to sit up and listen to the negotiating teams from both unions, that are showing an encouraging display of unity.

This might be a reoccurring nightmare unless they up the SO pay offer and adjust the levels why would we vote for an entry level pay scale after already doing up to 4 years of service , I'm sure others in different ranks have issues as well.

From what I have heard if you are after QF pay rates you may be waiting a long time. I wonder what Plan B is for VAI.

Not if you're an SO.
Apparently there are quite a few of them just waiting for their calls for a start date from QF so they could be on QF pay rates fairly soon!

By sheer coincidence, friend of mine who has a relative currently undergoing cabin crew training stated that said relative came home last night and stated that their course has been lengthened by 3 days to include international training. Whatever that is. Yeah, just coincidence.

Wouldn't it be mischievous of QF if they started them all on the same day, effectively grounding the 777 operation.

Management are confident that in their unofficial communications with their QF counterparts that there will be no mass hiring of 777 SO's. I'm sure Virgin have been as considerate in the past when interviewing Qlink drivers...

Wouldn't that be a form of collusion? Certainly sounds anti-competitive.
Not to mention discriminatory recruitment practices if a well qualified applicant was overlooked.
Very unfair on the candidates if this is true.

Management are confident and 'excited' about everything. But nothing seems to actually go right.

No backpay will mean another No from me.

Call it a sign on bonus if they will... but not a "retention payment" at the END of the new EBA
