To be fair though, flying to WA makes it an international destination as they don't want to be part of the rest of the country.

It's a pity as I think this would have done alright given the lack of holiday destinations available right now. The WA government might actually cause it to fail, because by the time they get themselves sorted people will have other options.

Spot on!

Why would anyone on the East Coast book a holiday to WA right now, only to find out when you arrive that the front door is closed and you’re locked out because of a couple of cases somewhere.

Build it and they will come, but not in this case, because WA is an insular **** hole. By the time the d!ckhead premier is finished with that place duelling banjos will sound like a top 40 hit to the rest of us.

YBLN Makes the FRONT PAGE......in the 'local' epistle anyway.......

'Busselton - Dunsborough Mail' dated Wed. Mar 3 2021...
Extract only -
"The first Virgin Australia A320 Airbus departed Busselton yesterday morning taking a plane load of Rio Tinto workers to Hope Downs mine.
The A320 will fly into Busselton twice a week to take miners to the Pilbara as part of Rio Tinto's regional workforce program in WA."
And so it goes on...paraphrasing.....
"It will take up to 168 pax to Hope Downs and West Angeles ops - further employment opportunities in the Region - City of Buss Mayor said great to see expansion of flights from FK100 to A320...
Everybody very happy etc etc should be more A320 flights into/out of..etc etc....

So there! The terminal is now fully justified. (?) My comment.....
The article did not say what time said A320 would land / depart.......presumably AFTER 'brekkie'.......
Cheers

GOOD NEWS !!

At last - The 1st of the much publicised flights MEL to BUSSO (YBLN) have actually occurred.

The first flight has landed at Busso this morning - could have been this arvo, as 'tis 1315 or so hrs now - and reportedly, each of the pax was presented with a $100 Voucher to spend locally, or take a trip to Margaret River, or whatever.......

WELCOME to our LUVLY weather, and to a LUVLY part of the world.
I do hope they really do enjoy the experience.

How about finding a ratepayer and handing it to them. Council: giving away money that isn't theirs.

The good old Australian whinge. More complaints than compliments everyday on everything. Get of your collective arses and do something creative instead of expecting the Guvment to solve everything

I have gone to Perth quite a lot but I have never had the chance to go south because it was too complicated to hire a car and drive
If one checks out Ms Kuz's picture in the associated story, one would not be surprised.
