SIA have already been involved with Branson before. If they wanted to join him again, they would have been in with him after AN collapsed.

SIA like to have complete control in all their investments, they will not buy into VBA while they are loss making and Branson has control of the product.

In another article I saw a good point that was made by Tiger, it was that VA and Richard B are against a tie up of BA/AA across the Atlantic, but they want a similar thing. Of course Tiger is also a proxy mouth piece for SQ, but I think it is a valid point.
