And F*** You too Jetstar!

Booked well in advance for a trip to Tassie on the Thursday night of the Easter weekend. Then were told its rescheduled to 16:25 or something meaning that instead of heading off after work, it's now a case of getting time off.

For one, shouldn't be too hard, but for a group of 8, a nightmare. In true LCC style, too bad, so sad. Can get a refund on the outward leg, but NO REFUND for the return!

Always read the fine print...if you don't like it, try someone else...yada yada, heard it all before! I'm just incredulous at the antipathy of the Res staff on the phone. To be told you are lying about having spoken to a supervisor not 20mins earlier beggars belief! Statements like "That's you problem" were never in the vocabulary before.

That was a sackable offence during the duopoly! (yeah, yeah...I know what's coming!)

Learned my lesson very well....and FCUK YOU JETSTAR!

Paybacks a bitch!

Never flown with them, never will - I hate that orange colour scheme; looks cheap as.

Howabout said it for me!

I trust that the person who called you liar was given an accurate description of their (lack of) ancestry Buster?

I would have given you the day off Buster !

Seriously though, I know how you feel.

I have been through a similiar experience with Easyjet skipping over to France for a weekend with a couple of Mates. They(Easy J) didn't give a f*ck either about the reschedule but I'll tell you, get there less than thirty minutes before departure and you are going nowhere!

Thank you Pinky...like minds and all that. I also avoid the parent, when possible, if I'm paying my own way. Any airline that can lose your bags (admittedly recovered later) three times in a row doesn't rate IMHO. Plus those breakfasts that consist of floor sweepings disguised as meusli make me want to chuck - no thank you dear, I'll just drink the tea and chew on this snotty tissue; it tastes better. And go and tell your CEO in 1A to put your fruit where the sun doesn't shine.

Oh, for early morning Ansett flights with hot bacon and scrambled eggs.

Never flown with them, never will
My sentiments exactly Howabout. Geoffstar is the [email protected] child of Darth so when I fly Buster it's a VB on VB for me.

I couldn't imagine any sensible person could disagree with you. "F&*K you Jetstar".
Unfortunately to travel out of Darwin to the North its our only "all about choice".
My last two trips they have decided that a time change was required. I did get a weeks notice.
I take my IPOD, turn it on as loud as I can so I don't have to listen or speak, I grit my teeth and dream of a real airline competing on the Singapore route.

Upset Buster!!!

If you are upset about the lack of ability to fulfill your original booking and they will not refund the ENTIRE booking -

- instead of getting upset - perhaps something could be done about it. You could start by writing to the various newspapers. I personally know that there are sympathetic editors who understand your predicament. A bit of publicity regarding your events might suddenly change their minds.

Or perhaps start a web site detailing your experience - there was one gentleman apparently who did that with Mazda and suddenly had an offer for resolution.....(google.au mazda cx9).

I am sure a brain storming beer session with the "mates" might give some more ideas.

I would NEVER condone such tactics of checking in a bag and then feeling very unwell and unable to fly once ready for pushback and offloading yourself.........

In any case - hope you get down to Tassie and have a great Easter with friends.

In a way, I agree with you Bolt. The bag thing crossed my mind (best $49 ever spent?) but why make the other miserable punters any more upset?

Sadly, it's this exact thing that made me cop it a few times on the check in counters. So, I'm sympathetic to the poor, underpaid, sods that man the counters, but they might want to tread carefully.

The irony is that, considering its the Thursday before Easter, I'm fully expecting it to be delayed.

Mate; one should not have to set up a website, write to newspapers etc. Fare-paying passengers pay their dosh in good faith and get screwed. Eventually, the pax will catch on and won't fly with such a chicken siht airline.

Those same chickens will come home to roost when people understand that for a few bucks more, when travelling overseas, they will get a much better deal with the asian carriers.

Frankly, I want Jet to survive. It means that the unwashed, smelly and obnoxious Aussie, either domestically or internationally, won't be sharing my armrest.

Buster - Ground staff deserve a really big medal these days (and a really good bullet proof jacket and anti-bollard helmet...). They have always had my admiration and upmost respect . Always a jump seat for ground staff when ever required.....
Bag and no show was in jest.
I still think you could have a fair resolution on this one with a bit of perseverance.

And taken that way, I can assure you, but it's funny what crosses ones mind at times like this.

One of our party has had to accept the refund & pay full whack on DJ to get there on the evening service.

Next holiday, I might just drive to Marysville...

I had the unglamorous pleasure to fly to the toilet that is Avalon the other day. The Safety card, the net thing and the magazine were all welded together with green chewing gum. There was other s*^& on the floor and I got stuck next to a particularly smelly bugger all the way. Certainly not something I'd recommend.
