VALE; Maurice Cooper.

Ex NZ CAA Flight Testing Officer of 1950-60's, Maurice Cooper, passed away this week in Wellington. An ex Battle of Britain pilot, Morrie was well known to many up and coming pilots of those years.
RIP.
COOPER
Maurice Roy. Flt Lt RAF (Retired). Peacefully; in his 90th year, on 12 July 2007 after a brave and courageous final flight at Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Nancye and adored father and fatherinlaw of Fleur, Gillian and Ross Stewart and Nicolette. Grandad to Nicholas and Dominique Desi; Sarah, David, Natalie and Ryan Stewart; Jade and Joshua Cooper-Taepa. Many thanks to all the wonderful compassionate staff and volunteers at the Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations to Mary Potter Hospice, PO Box 7042, Wellington South would be greatly appreciated, or may be left at the Funeral. Messages to Lychgate Funeral Home, 306 Willis Street, Wellington. A service for Maurice will be held at St Chad's Church, Main Road, Huapai on Thursday, 19 July 2007 at 11am followed by interment at Kumeu Cemetery. Wm. Morrison Funeral Director
