my friends always mention about mam writing that "your individual av and group av shall then be forwarded to qantas for evaluation".........except for honouring a contract in excess of this for being available to qantas means what? nothing? no honour no loyalty no recognition of dedication, an entire work force of large percentile of operational proportions being mislead by qantas not mam??????me thinks qantas may have opened a can of worms that may lead to "vermin" indeed casualvermin!.....all this pr exercise by qantas gone wrong by those subordinate to geoff and a union that appears to be on v take! so should i enjoy my bonus or think what??? thanks for the info ich bin "gobsmacked" cheers gigs

In case anyone feels bothered...take a look at the Tiger Airways Melbourne thread in the Cabin Crew forums, for an idea of what kind of selfishness we're all up against in the race to the bottom...
breathtaking...for all the wrong reasons...

I wont engage in discussion with you here Ms Tiger.

I've had my say and I'll leave it there.

It has nothing to do with aspiring to Qantas. And everything to do with looking out for one another in an industry not known for caring for its own staff.

Ms Tiger - While it appears you and your new tiger baby cubs have a mean bite, the kangaroo can bounce quite high, putting us 'on top' (for lack of a better word ) of the baby cub

You will learn very quickly that aviation is a small world in Australia. And my advice to you would be that publicly knocking the airline whose crew members are fighting to keep conditions well above those of other countries airlines is a shameful act.

We do aspire to work for Qantas. And we are proud of the conditions previous crew fought for prior to our arrival in this airline.

If you are proud of your Tiger award and conditions - great ! I just hope you are not filling the already deep pockets of your backer with even more money because you are all selling yourself short.

All the best.

darling

Maybe you aspire to work for Qantas, however not everyone would want to!

Having had many friends come and go through Qantas, its all the same

Money is not everything people

This might be of interest to our friend Ms Tiger given her support for the "work harder for less" airline management mantra.............

I can confirm that the poison dwarf (DD) did not get the permanent gig despite telling many poeple that he had already been told he had it!
I guess there is a Team Leader out there at the moment with egg all over his face!

Apparently Melbourne had a guy just like him running around saying a position was his. Ha ha. Amusing...

The couple of times I have worked with DD he ain't been that bad. As a Team Leader he would be one to watch, that's for sure!

hi pruners, i have a question and it is, does anyone know why qantas made 20 full time positions for perth......ie. reason why???? 20 spots does not seem many so why did they do it???????? i do know that per is the base thats hard to fill but why make 20 spots only for per when they can employ casuals and make buckets of cash for geoff..! any response/ answers would be of great interest.....also, given the vibe that the base administrator/ manager has played final selection screening what do you per. folk think of her performance in being a productive motivational boss to work under......thanks gigs
