Post Thursday's announcement

Just wondering what the mood at the Jet Base was on Friday after Thursday's announcement.

How is everyone holding up? Has anyone finished up already?

magoo,

The engineers were told to go home on Thursday the shed was locked down with security and there were managers in the lower planning crib to preseve the "intergity" of the check.

THe first ones back were the guys on B-Shift there was not much work that got done that night, there was a lot of soul searching amoung the guys and much the same over the weekend.

the job losses have not only effected the guys on the floor but also people in other departments who have had dealing with the guys during their secondments, a lot of these eople are finding it hard to come to terms of what has happened.

the Check aircraft has left the shed now minus the AVOD mod and the next aircraft should be in the shed tonight.

Full credit to the guys who even after every thing that has happened have still got pride in the work and a comittment to doing the job well.

I know there are alot of people looking at their what there choices are people getting the C/V's together and looking at the EOI that the company has giving them.

in short the goys are trying to now focus on what is around the corner for them.
