So let's see.
It's NOW okay to identify posters by their initials (presumably names must also be okay), and other uniquely identifying traits. To maintain a continued, concerted harassment - even on threads where there is no relevance in raising the harassed's name.
And to make DIRECT, unsubstantiated, false allegations.
But to then have it passed off with a comment by the moderator(s) along the lines of, "If your ego is that precious that it needs..........., then might we suggest that PPRuNe is a hazardous place for it to be exercised."
I entered PPRuNe early in the peace (
). In FACT it wasn't so peaceful then - a spade was called a spade - and Danny allowed "things" to run their natural course.
There was no Woomera.
There was, simply, a [email protected]
.......and there were no legal threats.
Things blew up - and blew over.
IMHO, Woomera (ii), have added some confusion to the scene, by their INconsistency.
I do not want to enter into the "1989 compendium of nouns" - in spite of the pendulum decisions by the varying Woomerii, that allow it in one swing, and then obliterate any post that mentions "that" word shortly thereafter.
The only consistancy, has been the INconsistancy! (You aren't Japanese, perchance??!!).
From its inception, it has appeared to me, that the ONLY reason for the existence of Flying Ninja, was to DIRECTLY attack me as an individual, vs a nom de plume.
Please do a "search" on his posts to verify.
The process of establishing his true identity might well take some time (and $$'s - which will be passed on).
'"Like a thief in the night", he is happy to hide in his cesspool of deceit and secrecy, whilst making false, libellous accusations against victims whose personal details he revels in publishing.
Simply put, PERSONAL attacks are just not on - they NEVER have been. Even when Danny ran the show single-handedly, as a charter pilot on "Fraggle Rock", flying with a blanket to keep warm.
Personally, I know very, very, very few of the nom de plumes here.

If you make an insulting statement about Jews, you have PERSONALLY insulted and defamed all Jews individualy.
If you state that ALL members of a particular group have particular characteristics that are negative and defamatory, you have defamed every member of that group PERSONALLY.

This place is soooo entertaining, (I doubt even Rotoroa or White Island is so volcanic & erupturous), it's amazing I didn't discover it before.
Now Kaptin, that it was recently stated there was a photo of you at Hanmer Springs I've had a divil of a time just locating it. Now the only time I've ever seen your picture before on PPRuNe was when you were stripped to the waist & me being a woman & all (pruddish though some may assume I might be), well I wasn't really concentrating on your face, handsome though it may be.
But may I say Kaptin much to my surprise you have the look of the exotic about you, could it be a hint of Oriental or Maori, maybe even Aborigini?
More likely one of the first two, would I be right, how very interesting?

Now don't let them get to you mate, just ignore them & don't start sueing me whatever you do cause I've had enough legal action been taken against me for the last couple of years & all I've left is the underwear I'm typing in.

If you were to publish defamatory comments about a group of which I am a member, you damage my reputation and I, as an individual, would have a cause of action, as would every other member of that group. Whether individual members of said group wished to take out a class action, or proceed with individual claims , would be up to them not you.
I would also point out that the action of a moderator removing personal insults from your posts after publication would not protect you. Once the genie is out of the bottle, it stays out.
Don't get me wrong, I have absolutley no intention of pursuing you or anyone for comments made about me or any group I'm involved with, but if I were you I would seriously ask myself whether my conduct had been so blemish free as to not leave myself open should legal action be instigated.
I have no idea who Flying Ninja is, and I don't agree with his methods. I would just ask you to consider that your aggressive, insulting, condesending and often contradictory style taken against people you disagree with or who disagree with you (I saw an exchange today regarding a 767s nosewheel in which you launched into someone for no justifiable reason as an example) leads to resentment and extreme dislike. To get prissy and litigious when someone exceeds YOUR boundaries is, to my mind, a smidge hypocritical.
