ATC Application Timescales

Having recently applied to NATS I have just received a letter back saying that my selection tests will be held Feb/ Mar 2003.

Does anyone have an idea of the timescales involved from the initial selection tests, to the interview and then a start date at the training college?

Looking back at previous conversations it looks like it could be a long process!!

Thanks!

Louise :)

Assuming test dates at beginning of March:

Pass tests: results end of March, interview set for start June

Pass Interview: Results end of June, start at college 12-18 months

Aerodrome/Approach course: start June 2004 finish June 2005

Posted to unit: initial training to validation 9 - 12 months

Area course: start June 2004 finish June 2005

Posted to unit (Swanwick): initial training starts March 2006, lasts up to 12 months

Good Luck

Thanks for that!

I guess it gives me plenty of time to prepare!

Apply to Eurocontrol and you could be on the July course. That's July 2003.
