Met Reporting

We have experienced some very unusual weather and temperatures recently, however, at MAN, the temperature seems to be in a local sink hole...

Even tonight, it is several degrees lower than surrounding airfields, previously, it could be over 5 degrees lower than Liverpool. With that differential, I would expect a rather large wind shift but it wasn't there.

Do the sensors at MAN need a good kicking ?

Could be 2 reasons.Liverpool at the coast will be warmer than inland especially in still air at night
The other reason could be frost hollows.Cold air pooling in valleys, causing slight Katabatic winds. If there is snow fields it can be stronger.
If sure a met expert will give you a detailed explanation.
Winter.:ok:
