Any vacancies at this time?

First hello everybody (this is my first post on Pprune!)

I'm actively looking for a new position, but after having google-ing for hours, it seems that nobody is recruiting!

I'm fully rated (ADI/APP/ACC) and very (very) motivated to change!!!!!

Any Ideas?

Seems to be nice!
But I guess that you have to have a UK licence...

Do You Have To Be An Australian Citizen To Be Eligible?

Thanks In Advance

Getthemdown 29th October 2009 18:32

Hey, thanks a lot!

ME is quite attractive but the matter is that you have to live with the fact you have a fixed term contract and lots of ways of being fired...

I didn't know that Australia is recruiting, seems to be a good deal, the country is nice (even if i've never been there, i heard a lot of good things about..)
I guess i'll be eligible to work there, that must be based on the criminal record?

Edit : I've just tried to follow the online recruitment for Australia, very complex..and it ends on the 1st of november.
Maybe i'm gonna be short of time to get all what they want...

zkjaws 29th October 2009 22:43

New Zealand???

Airways New Zealand always seem to be recruiting from offshore

Dont be too worried about the end date in the ad, Airservices is always looking for experienced controllers, when this ad ends there is usually a new one within a few weeks.

You only need to be eligible for Australian residency and have recent experience.

Getthemdown 30th October 2009 05:24

So, better take my time and do a proper application.

I saw that New Zealand is recruiting, but it seems to be hard to get in.

Is the eligibility down to whether you can get a permanent visa through the Skilled Qualification Scheme?

Any idea how strict the "3 years experience" is enforced? I have 2,5 years at the moment.

Cheers

MelbATC,

The link you provide appears to be for the ab-initio program, not for experienced controllers?

.....ok, maybe I was late!

I'm not really sure about the exact process of getting the visa as I was born in Aus. As for the experience if you impress they will usually be okay with being a few months short.

The job listing that was listed for experienced controllers has ended, however if interested just keep checking as there should be a new one within a few weeks.
