Play Time...
Looking for an ATC simulation game - preferably realistic - and preferably free.
Any offers? |
maybe you should try vatsim.net but to become an atc you must first be a pilot for a number of hours.
|
I've never seen one that is truly realistic - and that includes the professional ones controllers train on! I user to play with Tracon (probably long obsolete) and crashed nearly everything. A chum of mine who was a pilot was very good at it!
Lots of people play with Vatsim, but it's far from realistic. |
Welcome to the ATCsimulatorŽ2 Website
London Control Home Tower Simulator - Index IVAO - International Virtual Aviation Organisation with its motto "as real as it gets", probably more "professional" than Vatsim from my point of view. :E |
|
Air Traffic Control training & consultancy - NATS
Its all free and I guarantee that if you qualify and validate, you'll find better things to do with your spare time.:E |

I'd say London Control is the best ATC simulation you can get, SSS the best freeware.
If you want to talk to real people, VATSIM and IVAO should be your choice, which of the two depends on personal taste really. Both are pretty professional, IVAO seems to have more attendance in Europe (especially the south of it), while VATSIM attracts more participants in the US and some parts of Europe like the UK or Germany. Radsim , freeware developped by a French ATCO :
http://www.jeehell.org/radsim.html never tried, but you can create your own scenarii. Local1 also freeware : Local 1 - Downloads |
Any Mil controllers out there?
What of the wonderful ATA3?? :} |
I'd go for VATsim as it is more realistic, IVAO is directed at the younger user IMO. They give you a medal just for joining like!:ugh: Both have their pro's and con's but when I had the decision VATsim was the only choice for me.
