ATCO Aptitude Preparation: how best to prepare?

Dear ATCOs

Please can you help?

My 18 year old daughter has written aptitude testing either in London or Glasgow later this year for ATCO.

As I am already a user of PPRuNe I said that I would post the question about how best to prepare for the aptitude test e.g. Eysenck / Heinemann or for anything similar worth searching for in Borders or Amazon.

She is aware that for the Psychometric testing there is no preparation really.

Any advice?

Thank you for your time.

PS How many times can a candidate take the aptitudes? (Seems a pessimistic question to post but it took me 2 attempts to get military aircrew and I know that the RAF used to give you only 2 shots at ATCO - the only aptitude tests that I have ever failed:O).

covec,

Have a look at the sticky thread at the top of the page here, an incredible amount of information about the NATS recruitment process. For the record your daughter will have three attempts, each a year apart.
