SVFR clearance: Cookham - BUR?

Hi all, am planning to take some visiting American friends on a local flight on Friday morning and would like to include an overflight of their hotel, Cliveden.

The hotel is located at 5133N,00041W which is about 2NM inside the Heathrow CTR - about a mile in from the Cookham Heli VRP, and about 2NM north of the BUR NDB (Burnham).

I think I should call Heathrow Radar on 125.625 - ref. the EGLL entry in the AIP (http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/aip/cu..._2_EGLL_en.pdf) there is a note(3) as follows:

Special VFR and Helicopter flights in the London CTR. These flights will additionally receive a service from the following: Thames Radar (132.700 MHz): 0630-0700 and 2030-2200.
I am planning my flight for around 9am local (0800Z) so I guess I just call Heathrow Radar... I won't have much time to arrange clearance after departing Wycombe (unless they can coordinate?)... Would appreciate if anyone familiar with doing this could advise:

a) should I call Heathrow Radar (125.625) first?
b) am I likely to get a clearance?

Thanks,

Andy

It is possible, ask Wycombe tower to co-ord it for you. You may find that you have to hold outside at Cookham initally. It will also depend on the runways in use at the time - both at Heathrow and Northolt.

Alt, you can ask Wycombe tower for a contact number and talk to "Special" direct :ok:

Then there is always Northolt Approach (126.450) who also provide SVFR in that area of the zone...
