Hey guys I'm the same as you. Did you complete Melbourne or Brisbane assessment days?

Don't stress guys, think I was in that boat for about 3 months... This was partially my own fault as they wanted to see if they could put me in an earlier course...

This is still just testing your patience. lol still more to come.... Casa is so behind in medicals that you will be waiting at least 2 months for it to be issued

Hey Liz I was in the same assessment day as you - without putting my name out there I was the other girl. Have you heard from/about the others at all?

I'm also in the same boat :) patiently waiting to hear whether my references got me through. Although I have heard that there are no more places on any courses for the rest of this year, so it looks like it's going to be a little wait regardless of when we hear back.

Did any of you guys do the March 17th assessment day?

Were you both at the March Assessment Day in Brisbane on the 2nd of March? I was at that day and have also been sitting at the "final approval" stage for the last two and a bit weeks.

Other than the assessment day(s) in Melbourne in March, does anyone know whether there have been any more since?

I just got the call, October course in Brisbane!!!! I'm so unbelievably happy right now, I've already booked my medical! Good luck to everyone else, can't wait to meet the other people on my course! If anyone needs a place to stay I have a spare room so pm if you're interested. Yay!!!!!!

Glad to hear your onto the medical... just spoke with some of the staff in the office and they are so far behind its not funny!!!

I know of one case that is still ongoing with complications and has been for the last 6 months. There us at least 2 others i know that have been waiting since early April for their medical..... so no time to wait!

Anyone else heard anything back yet?

JC91 - I haven't heard anything yet either and I am also curious as to whether anyone else has been offered a place.

Also, does anyone know whether placements are still currently for Brisbane in October?

Now to decide between enroute and tower! Any suggestions?

I'm a tower kid through and through, love it. It all happens super quick and you spend your day at work effectively plane spotting. From what I've heard there is a longer wait for a tower course compared to enroute though?...

Congrats on getting through, it's one of the most rewarding and satisfying jobs you'll ever find!

I was initially thinking tower as well, now I'm not so sure... I like Melbourne and there is no guarantee of getting a preferable posting if I choose the tower route.. And yep it's about a 2 1/2 month difference..

Bear in mind also that the ab initio tower course is somewhat shorter than the ab initio enroute course. Might be a longer wait to start, but you might end up coming out of the academy at the same-ish time.
