Functional Airspace Block UK/Ireland

Just heard that the study on a possible joint FAB UK/Ireland has been suspended/cancelled due to some difficulties regarding oceanic airspace.
Does anyone have additional information on this ?

Best regards

Can't imagine the Ocean causing any problems. The IAA have already taken all of Shanwick that they are able to 'see' with radar in both the NOTA and SOTA. Also, the NATS/IAA agreement on the future joint service provision within the Shanwick OCA was only signed within the last couple of years and covered a 25 year period.

Latest I read was that a meeting is planned twix NATS/IAA later this year to examine the FAB business case in greater detail. Seems like things are still progressing well as far as one can tell.
