Atco

Hi guys,
How do you become an ATC girl?
Is there any training such as ground course to take before a practical part (as for pilots ) that can be done through distance learning?
I am living in remote Indian ocean and wondering if most of it could be done via internet for the written part.
Or does the entire course have to be done in-house?
Do you have any advice?
Many thanks,
Cheers.

Don't know what the regulations are for MRU, but in England you MUST carry out an approved course at one of our three colleges.
Why not try phoning the Plaisance Airport and see if they'll let you talk to someone in ATC; I've a feeling they do their training in France.
Visited MRU way back in '78, stayed at Troux Au Biches.
