N864 lower limits
Several times when transiting N864 NE of D203 in daytime hours
(ie between 0700 and 2000) I have been questioned by London Information as to my intentions. On the last occasion I asked them to confirm the base of N864 and was told the base was FL65. This was at c1130Z. According to my 0.5 mil map the base of this section between these hours is FL105. However I meekly descended below FL65. Can someone please confirm for me what the base is? |
BCN to TALGA - FL55, FL65 then FL85
TALGA to RADNO - FL105 RADNO to 10 S MONTY - FL125 10 S MONTY - 5 S MONTY - FL105 5 S MONTY - MONTY - FL85 Hope this helps. You could look up the route info at www.ais.org.uk CF |
You should be aware that the base level of N864 does lower according to the time of day. I can't remember what the exact details are now that LATCC(Mil) West have moved to Swannick but it was always a gotcha on an afternoon shift.

Base becomes FL65 from 2000 - 0700 UTC daily.
