The BHX thing is only b'caus the ATIS met contents only make up about 25% of the total info - the remaining 75% covers everything from the flow control of the (now famous) wood pidgeons crossing btw 0900 and 0945 at 100 to 150 ft AAL :p to the 33 GS that has been out of service for the last year or so :ouch: :D :p Seriously - a v. good ATC unit, if they just could stop airport management from digging up everything & trying to fix everyting in one big (and rather protracted) go. :rolleyes: Maybe look to MAN - changes are slow, but keep the ATIS below the recommended 30 sec. Or - revert to stating "Airfield information : RCL avbl, stop-end lights avbl, threshold identifier lights avbl, wood pidgeons in progress, report type & info X Q1006 on first contact" ;) Doh! - forgot the THR elevation! :O Empty |
