Bordeaux

It was most gratifying, if surprising, to hear the incredibly polite controller on BDX frequency this morning. He seemed genuinely delighted to have us on frequency both times we passed through his sector. If he reads this I would like to pass my thanks to him, he made our passage a real pleasure.

beardy,

Couldn't agree more! They are fantastic! They always have fantastic direct routings when we first call them up!

"Direct BARLU" :)

Was night stopping there about a week ago. Can't recommnend it enough (with a great crew as well :) ;) :) ).
The GA handling agent AA Bordeaux (BOD airport, BDX VOR) was most helpful and a genuinely nice guy. Bought 12 bottles of great wine in their terminal.

Rick,

Pretty good usually - it is clear in GVA that there are fast controllers in TWR but also some cautious ones (maybe burned their fingers once?).

Better co-ord area to APP control would be good, re Direct SPR, Speed control etc.

By the way did you stay in the Crewhaus for a while there?
