Aussie ATC results.

Fellow ATC wanabees,

Anybody received a response after their aptitude test day?

If so....(a) Are you through? (b) Where did you do it? (c) How did they notify you?
(d) Anything else important you may have heard?

Remember, this is an anonymous forum so it can't affect your application.

Any information appreciated (Personally I'm running out of nails to bite!).

Thanks in advance,
ATR.

Hey,
I did my testing on the 23rd in Brisbane. We were told that we would be notified either way within 3-4 days. Here it is going on to 8 days later and I still haven't heard anything. Maybe that means I didn't get through?

did mine 25 in Melb... we weren't told how long we were looking at for waiting, except that the successful ones would hear first, and the unsuccessful ones a bit later, by letter... so who knows???

Perhaps those successful candidates should create a new pprune alias for their reply lest they have their cover blown on Day 1 at ATC school. http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/cool.gif

Position&Hold 1st December 2000 07:20

I did my testing on 21st November in Melbourne.
From what I was told by fellow people there were 426 people being tested Nationally of which 100 were in Melbourne and apparently only 10 positions are avialable.
Those holding the testing told us we would here within 3-4 days if we had an interview and within 10 days otherwise.

This afternoon I received an email (11 days after my test) and expected it to say thanks for coming. However it stated: (I quote)

I refer to your application for an Air Traffic Controller-in-training
position with Airservices Australia and the test session you attended
recently.

You are now invited to attend for a personal interview so that your
application can be further considered.

Interviews are to be conducted on :

Thursday 7 December
Friday 8 December
Monday 11 December

Hope to hear of other people getting through

now the next question, what are we expected to know in the interview? any pointers on what we should read up on? or tips on what the interview will be like?

thanx, rob!

Read the Airservices web site, especially the recruitment site which tells all about the job. If you received any printed literature with your application then make sure you're familiar with anything. I think this is just to ascertain your true level of career interest and self-motivation.

ATR Driver. 1st December 2000 16:27

Well done gentlemen.

I also received notice to move ahead to the next stage.

Good luck to all.
ATR.

No Further Requirements 2nd December 2000 02:58

I just got a message in the mail saying that AirServices is only recruiting in Melbourne and Brisbane and applications from other areas will be considered later. Heard a rumour that the Melb/Bris recruits will do long course and others may do short course at a later date. Anyone else get the same or hear the same?

Thread closed until ATR Driver sorts out his email address as notification of replies are STILL being bounced back to me.

I suggest you have a word with your ISP and any new threads you post do not request email notification of replies!
