Pilot visit to UK ATC
 

I am a regular visitor to EGSS and would like a chance to see the ATC operation from the other end of the radio. I had previously been in contact with Derek P at LATCC (I think) to arrange a visit but have had a PC failure and lost contact. Derek, if you read this, beer is still on offer ;) I will be in UK Thurs/Frid 9/10SEP. Would also appreciate some info on reasonable pub to stay at for a quiet ale or 3 :) Reciprocal offer of course.. anyone from ATC is always welcomne on the jumpseat.

There should be an e-mail or two for you on the way which will hopefully help with the arrangements. Fraid I can't make it for a beer though as I will be elsewhere in the country that day. If anyone reading this in the LATCC area would like to meet you for a beer, can I suggest they contact you direct.

I'm an effo based at LGW and would like to arrange a visit to the tower and also to LATCC. Anyone know any useful contact numbers?

Winston - a set of contact numbers were published once before - but I can't find them, perhaps Pprune Radar can help. LGW don't take too many visitors at the moment, for LATCC, you can drop me an e-mail direct...

Sad to hear that LGW "don't take too many visitors". At Maastricht we have restrictions regarding visits by non-aviation related persons but our door is ALWAYS open for ATC or aircrew visitors.
