routes from Stansted to Berry Head

Could you please advise your preferred routing from Stansted to Berry Head, easterly and westerly? A quick look at the Jepps and I see Luton, Northolt, Heathrow, Gatwick and Southampton possibly competing for SALCO and certainly anxious that a P*******r BBJ keep its nose clean. I always like to hear things from the horses mouth so I thought I'd ask you. You might also like to look at www.shelco.sh to get the drift. Please help the enicalyth. Thanks and G'day from Australia on Labor (sic) Day.

You might like to look at the UK Standard Routes Document which is available on the UK AIS site here

You have to register but it's free.

thaks, but...

Thanks for the suggestion but these data are rather simplistic and tend to say things like MID DAWLY BHD SALCO. What I meant by the question would be if someone said something like "pound to a pinch on a westerly it's straight ahead to xxxxxft right on radial xxxx you'll probably be cleared straight for WOBUN (I know not likely but I couldn't think of anything else), they usually direct you to KIDLY via DIDLY at xxxx then you go DCT for MALBY DCT for VLN DCT for BHD. It's a busy old place ain't it and the guys on radar know best, jepps flimsies... well they serve another purpose too!

Take care when I'm in the air!

Just make the cheque out to cash and your wish could be answered! :D :ok:

Stansted to BHD irrespective of which runway is used would be quickest via a Compton SID, then direct SAM direct BHD.

Depending on the level that you're filing for the cruise you could end up routeing below controlled airspace west of SAM because the base level is quite high. However, most traffic is transferred to London Military west of SAM if it's staying below.

A longer route would still be via a Compton SID, but then CPT direct BCN direct BHD and unless you're flying below FL80 you'll be in controlled airspace almost all the way.

From Luton and Northolt the routeing is the same.

:ok:

Yeah, but they're a bit too busy to go vectoring you around the skies, mate! Do your flight planning properly, follow the SIDs accurately and all will be well.. Nobody can guarantee what will happen on the day but if YOU are properly briefed it will assist ATC enormously.

many thanks

Compton SID it is, or most likely to be. Tis a busy place, omigosh.

Thanx, The enicalyth.
