nats final interview results

sat final interview down at prestwick on 14th january and still haven't had word back yet. i was told ten working days and by this monday that will be up. however, i've been informed by someone in the know that letters are not being posted till this coming tuesday. does anyone know nats' procedure with regard to this? do fails go out first like with the selection tests? or is it common for backlogs to build up and therefore a delay in replying to all candidates, successful or not? this is my 2nd attempt and first time round i received a letter about a week after my interview (5-6 working days)that i was unsuccessful.

I wouldn't read anything into the time being taken for a reply - I think "they" just make it up as they go along.

When I went throught the system in the early 90's it took 4 weeks just to get the results of the aptitude tests due to an "admin error".

Good luck - and remember all the best contollers get in 2nd (or in my case, 3rd) time round. :-)

Let us know how you get on.

can anyone else tell me how long it took to get word back after the final interview? there's been a few posts on the board recently from people who've been successful at the interview stage in the last few months at various places in the uk and i'd like to hear from any of you. just getting impatient......

I was interviewed on Wednesday, and told (by telephone)the following Monday. Written confirmation took at least another week to arrive (I was still half-thinking it was a wind-up!)

I wouldn't panic just yet. I joined in the middle of last year and getting responses from recruitment was often like drawing blood from a stone! Even when I got my contract it had the helpful advise on it not to quit my old job yet 'cos of passing the medical and security. The problem was there were 14 days 'til I was due to start and my old job (like many others) needed a month's notice. Good luck anyway, maybe you got the (correct) letter this morning!

As everyone else keeps saying, just be patient! I heard in 5 working days but a guy who was at the medical as well had heard after about 15 working days!
