Air Navigation Solutions Assessment Day

Hi All,

I couldn't find anything covering this using search.

Does anyone know what the day involves?

Is it similar to the NATS online tests?

Thanks in advance

You should have been fully briefed on what you need to do. Take a Dalton Computer and a sharp B pencil just in case. Good luck.

No ATCO should be allowed anything sharp surely?

All we were told is we’ll be given more details in October.

13 November, for Day 1. But there is no mention of a Dalton Computer,.....yet !!
Brushing up on psycho metric tests, seems the main thing to do, then hope the general knowledge questions are sensible.

Many thanks

hi guys,

i'm gonna attend the assessment on the 14th. i'm not preparing too much, just practicing some verbal reasoning etc and getting some knowledge about the company, ATC at LGW and general info about LGW.

I've asked them if the tests are gonna include the FEAST and DART test because I'm not allowed to repeat them and they said it's different tests so I'm quite curious what it's gonna be.

good luck to everyone :-)

Evening!

Would anyone be able to shed a bit more light on the ANS process such as training, training location, any rumour on a salary? I've applied for the Trainee Edinburgh controller and not info out there.

However I guess some of you are much like my self and cant find much!

Thanks

Chris

Training is carried out in Frankfurt, beyond that I can't tell you anything else.

Turnerc346 13th Nov 2017 15:31

Wow! Frankfurt! Didn't see that coming haha!

Hey!

How'd your testing go? Feel free to PM me if you want to keep it off the forums!

Wassup? In my limited experience, the food in Germany is bloody nice.

I got an e-mail today inviting me to the assessments for Edinburgh in January. Did anyone else?

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has any further info they can share about ANS, terms and conditions, salary expectations etc.

LEGAL TENDER 5th Dec 2017 10:54

The information is not publicly available, but the figures and T&Cs are very similar to what the UK largest ANSP offers at units of similar size!

And what is the point of forum????

resemble me on some Toyota forum ,run by local Toyota distributor, on every question or problem answer was : consult your dealer .....
:}:ugh::ugh::yuk::yuk::mad:

go on then, tell us your employer, salary, pension, shift pattern, hours, holiday entitlement and benefits.

What's the point of a forum otherwise? :)

SINGAPURCANAC 5th Dec 2017 17:23

Nobody asked since my provider is not open for foreign qualyfied Atcos.
But more or less,
4 times average salary - twr/app
Pension is unkown ( we don't believe that there will be any for our generation)- pension plus health insurance cca 45% on net salary
Working hours in the line with others in Europe (cca 144hr/mt)
Holiday depends on years of experience but min 25-30 working days plus 15 days recreational leave
Shift patern- as you agree with colleagues (sched mandatory published up to 20th for next month- no changes without atcos approval)
8% for sup, 10-15 %ojti/assesor/examiners
....

And I think that for any CRCO ANSP the same is applicable .
So, it is your turn, :)

Do ANS have their own College of Air Traffic Services in the UK?
