Middle East Jobs
I have noticed a lot of ATC jobs being advertised in the Middle East lately. Particularly the usual locations of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
However this is a job advertised on Flight Global at the moment that is playing it coy. Can anyone tell me who CAE Parc Aviation are representing? Air traffic controllers (ATC) CAE Parc Aviation is assisting a key client with the recruitment of Air Traffic Controllers in the Middle-East. |
Probably Qatar.

Roadrunner Once,
OK. Thanks. |
Unprofessional Advert
Don't you just despair at the amateurism of unspecialised recruitment consultants. CAE Parc obviously have no knowledge of ATC. This advert does not make sense as it asks for airport ATCOs in one part and area ATCOs in another and mixes the two up. It shows a total misunderstanding of ATC operations. Plus the spelling is atrocious.
The client should look elsewhere as rubbish in = rubbish out. If the recruiter doesn't understand, how the heck is he/she ever going to offer the client the right ATCO for the right job at the right time in their career. |
This advert does not make sense as it asks for airport ATCOs in one part and area ATCOs in another Civil ATC licence Tower or Approach radar or Area endorsement Ideally 5 years’ experience on one of the mentioned endorsements ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above |
Area controllers in Doha? Well, since Qatar has no ACC, might be the option that area controllers will be retrained for approach... I've heard trough the grapevine that Dubai approach is already doing the same thing ?

360 Bak Trak....yet.
Doha doesn't have and never will have enough airspace to warrant an ACC. Being entirely surrounded by UAE, Bahrain and Saudi civil airspace as well as Qatari, Saudi and Bahraini military airspace, they are snookered.:O |
You might be surprised what the next few years will bring...........:E

If 360BakTrak is referring to the possibility of a regional ACC in that area (at least for high level airspace, as per examples elsewhere in the world) I think he's correct with his prediction -- there is a lot of incentive to do so and a lot of behind the scenes activity in that regard. But... as those familiar with this part of the world are well aware, trying to achieve agreement on where a regional ACC would be located is the BIG issue.

Having UK citizenship is also a requisite for the positions in Doha, or so one of the CAE Parc recruiters told me...
Any ideas as to why? |
