Manchester approach question

It seems many years since a split was done between North and South approach frequencies.

With traffic increasing, are there any specific plans to re-introduce the split (taking into account the additional costs etc)?

There is of course the possibility that it might have been used whilst I have been having 'Senior sleeps'!

Interesting.

I've no answer but like you I'm only aware of one approach frequency these days followed by a transfer to Director.

Don't forget the airport has two runways nowadays so the final director doesn't have to allow 'gaps' for departures.

Thanks chevvron - although as you may have noticed we were down to 23L only for nearly 4 hours due to a disabled aircraft close to 23R!
