Incorrect Altitude Readout

In a hold @ 9,000, A/P on (so level...), twice in a turn at the same position, ATC indicated 300' alt alert. Any ideas as to why this would happen? Some kind of static port issue?

Thanks.

Maybe you already had a 200 feet mis-readout, and your A/P couldn't hold the altitude in the turn, changing the number a bit, then showing 300 to ATC?

Like above, we don't have much to go on...

EMB145

Honeywell RCZ-833K

Alt - Transition level = FL150 (trans alt = 13000')

QNH 1008

:uhoh:

Thanks!
