The future of Nats

I have been following Nats' for the last decade, and must say that the loss of Gatwick and Birmingham was surprising, albeit perhaps necessary in order for Nats to finally begin to seriously consider how to compete against DFS (which is a company that I have seen grow and improve dramatically in recent years). However, the loss of Gatwick in particular must hurt, as it should. I expect that Nats will increase its focus to Europe in light of the entering of DFS in the UK market, but the question is where. Expansion of their operations in Spain is obvious, but are there any other markets that seem reasonable? I've been looking at Sweden as a potentially viable market for Nats, albeit doesn't seem too attractive due to its limited potential, but a combination of several Nordic markets might make more sense? What do you think? Will Nats try to win bids in Sweden?

Glad that I didn't have to go through all this uncertainty, messing about & crap !
Oh well, times change; but, NOT for the better !

I'm sure there are some of NATS that are rather concerned by what has happened over the last 10 years, but those that count ie. the beancounters, will not be bothered in the slightest. NATS will continue to thrive and post profits and pay them at the top huge bonuses.

Yes, zonoma; that's EXACTLY what it's all about ! Who cares about the shopfloor ?

If Scotland votes for independence then presumably the UK government will have to gift the new Scottish government a share of NATS.

Of course the new Scottish government might want a bigger share the charges NATS raises for flights over their airspace.
