Technical issue at NATS Swanwick centre | NATS
Conflict alert system failure according to Eurocontrol. EGTT Confict alert system failure Regulations extended to 1400 UTC Due to confict alert system failure a number of regulations are currently applied. Operators and neighbouring units can expect short notice restrictions. All the south sectors are affected. Regulations have been applied with reduced capacities, A zero rate has been applied to Berry Head/ Lands End. Operators wish to avoid the area, will be provided with help from NMOC as much as possible. Traffic holding in neighbouring airspace is being called on tactically by EGTT controllers. Still no equipment recovery. We keep you informed as soon as more info is availabe to us |

Upper air. LAC sectors have the problem.
|
EGTT ATC system recovered Due to a backlog of traffic and whilst full capacity is restored, several regulations will still be in force until 1400 UTC |
The traffic snarlup was due to "the wrong type of flight plan".
|
which is why we should never have computer controlled planes.

"Jersey Airport had tweeted just after 10:00 BST on Tuesday that the computer failure at Swanwick had "resulted in the temporary suspension of all flights in and out of UK air space."
Thats funny because I was still sending aircraft their way all morning. |
