He was a very nice guy indeed. I bought a Bullworker off BP and when Bikash saw it he said it was only for p**fs and promptly squeezed it until it was fully closed!

Bikash, close friends with Clive George and Roger Darling I seem to remember. "Hello my mate" was his favourite phrase when coming to take over.
We had fun then. |
A bit of nostalgia at
London Heathrow Terminal 2 being rebuilt (25 April 2012) - YouTube - I've never seen a movie of the peripheral lighting 'panel' . And that handsome young toff facing the camera at 1:00 - not a young JK surely? |
White Waltham; Frank Brejka
Chevron triggered some fond memories . I used to live next to pilot Frank Brejka in Woodley near Reading when he was an instructor at White Waltham. After he moved to Blackbush I had a couple of joyrides with him to Newmarket where he was picking up race hose trainers and jockeys. I disembarked and visited my parents who lived nearby. In the evening I rejoined for the flight home.
I now have a PPL and fly an EV97 microlight. |
That can't possibly be JK. It was a whole minute into the video. JK would have gone home early by then...

I loved the titles some people have - "Aerodrome Licence Director", or something. What does he do all day I wonder? Shame to know the old Fun Palace has gone for ever. I spent the best working years of my life in that place and I'm still taken tablets to recover!

That guy was an ODM when I left - promotion or title change?
|
Could be both I suppose? They were a good bunch, including DH who was the ex-Vulcan commander I recall.
