Spanish ATCO fed up with Ryanair priority landings
While searching for information on Ryanair's flight safety I found the text below on a forum. The message is posted June 2010:
"A while ago members of my Spanish family who work for AENA based at Madrid airport mentioned AENA were fed up with Ryanair demanding priority landing because they were low on fuel." source: RYANAIR TAKING RISKS? : British Expat Discussion Forum We all know the mayday calls at July 26, 2012 of Ryanair aircraft with destination MAD and the mayday call of a Ryanair aircraft May 14, 2010 at Alicante all due to low fuel. Is there any truth in the ATCO's of Madrid (or any other airport) being fed up with Ryanair? Is there a pattern? |
Some of the posts on that forum are laughable. 'Kyle's mummy' for example. WHERE did she get that from - from a Spanish ATCO?
"Is there any truth in the ATCO's of Madrid (or any other airport) being fed up with Ryanair? Is there a pattern?" Yes - and - no. Not just ATCOs - national airlines and others as well. |
After reading the posts on that forum it makes you glad that those people live abroad!:ugh:
