Medical renewal frequency

Have found a lot of conflicting info in various places.. just wondered how often NATS make you renew your medical as an ATCO ?

cheers

Not quite sure what you mean by "..NATS make you..."? The licence requirement is every 2 years up to age 40, every year from then on, IIRC.

That answers it thanks :)

It's a CAA requirement for all ATCOs (and FISOs now too) not just NATS controllers.

nats is just yet another ANSP. It is not the be-all-and-end-all, and certainly not The Regulator of UK civil aviation as some people, including senior politicians, delude themselves that it is. CAA Medical Department regulates UK ATS medicals, not nats, so don't give nats any more reasons to 'posture'...

once you are over 40, your backside becomes a two passage as far as your medical is concerned...........nice.........something to look forward to.
